As a resident of Minnetrista I am extremely offended by Lisa Whalens, Patricia Thoele, and Pam Mortensons campaign angle..."Our Minnetrista"? Doesn't it seem and look like they are all planning for a complete city take over? It is quite obvious they'd all like to be elected together and quite possibly to all vote the same way. Isn't that illegal? Even if you were running for council and helping to improve the city you live in wouldn't you want to brand yourself separately from your other opponents? Maybe take a stand on what SPECIFICALLY your concerns are and exactly HOW you wanted to improve the city? Seems to be all three of them have been saying the same thing "Ethical and honest leadership"..... ok yes I agree with you, we expect that from all candidates running but it doesn't tell me anything. As a women watching the angle of these three women's campaign un-roll makes me really sad. The entire election is SO negative. Everyone I talk to can't wait for it to be over so the negativity stops showing up in the mailboxes, newspaper and doorsteps. No matter who is elected it doesn't change the fact that the water improvements need to be a priority in Minnetrista. I gave my daughter a bath last night in a tub that was so chlorine laced her little bright blue eyes were so irritated and red we couldn't finish bath time. That is NOT ok with me and I won't give up the pressure on the city to fix it.
Minnetrista isn't yours Lisa, Pat and Pam. It belongs to everyone who lives, works and pays taxes here. You need to listen to your municipal water users.
